Day 19 - 23 (Grecia - Holy Week)

Day 23 - Before heading to the religious procession in downtown Grecia, I decide to take a self-portrait of myself in my new VNDK8 Shirt:

Day 19-23
- This week in Costa Rica is named Semana Santa (Holy Week). Everything shuts down and the downtown Grecia becomes a ghost town. I met Diego's Cousins family on Good Friday to observe the religious procession in downtown Grecia:

It's interesting to see another Spanish/Catholic culture's take on Holy Week. I was in Spain for Holy Week and they also have processions where the different churches participate, but they carry really heavy decorated floats and some wear pointy hats or chains. Pretty interesting stuff...

Your rainforest excursions look AMAZING! I need to see Costa Rica, I'd love it. Except for the spiders. Geez, that would give me the creeps. The tarantula picture is still haunting me. :)

Looks like you're having an awesome time, thanks for sharing so many great pictures!
